#1 is a leftover from the previous set's retro-mania. :P #2 was a jump away from the retro stuff, and then somehow I reverted back to it in #3... (So I like retro. *shrugs* It has a fun, light vibe...)

Aiba Hiroki

This turned out better than I thought it would. And I was just trying to work around the way the photograph "cut off" his hands...

Endou Yuuya

Yay for retro!
I was actually testing that cut-out/collage look, and found that the retro style seemed to suit it well... So retro-esque it is.

Irei Kanata

Me likes the colour scheme here. :D

Igarashi Shunji

Taichou..! Or should I call him Noe now? Hm. NAH. "Taichou" suits him better. heheh

I... Seem to be using a lot of yellow all of a sudden. But that's cool. :D I rarely get to use yellow with my other wallpapers. hehe

I find #7 interesting - get to compare Arashi in 2000 and in 2006. Look at the difference! (Especially in MatsuJun! I think Riida-san has changed the least...)

Ninomiya Kazunari

I'm not a great fan of Nino, but one of my good friends and my imouto thinks that he's the best of Arashi, so... Yeah. This is more for them than for me. XD

Sakurai Sho

Sho-kun! My second favourite in Arashi... Tied with Aiba at the moment, actually. (I warmed to Aiba after watching Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen)

- All are at 1280 x 1024 - because that's what fits my screen.
- The watermarks / sigs. They're there because I've had my stuff stolen before (a Bleach wallpaper) and I don't take well to that sort of thing....
- Credits are given on the wallpapers when possible.
- If you'd like any of them without the watermark, just leave a comment with your e-mail (unless you've requested before, then I'll just check my contact list for your add) and I'll send the 'clean' version over.
- Do drop a comment if you like them, or if you have any suggestions. :)

Been a while since I made this many icons. Only coughed up so many this time round because I was trying to make an Arashi avatar to use... hahah
I'm not the best icon-maker, I know. There are tonnes better than me. But I just figured that since I've done them, I might as well share. ^.^

Hm... There are about two or three ways to do that.

One easy way would be to use adjustment layers and masks (I'm not sure which version of Photoshop you're using - it's placed differently in newer versions, so just check your help file and see where the adjustment layer button is :D ).

So let's say Layer 1 is your image (eg. MatsuJun). Then you pick the "Hue & Saturation" adjustment layer.
You can apply H&S and all straight onto Layer 1, but adjustment layers let you edit the photograph/image without affecting the original layer. It's safer that way, in case you want to change stuff. :)

On "Hue & Saturation" pull the Saturation slider (second one) to the left so that it'll turn the image black-and-white or grayscale. Then to make it darker, you drag the Lightness (last) slider to the left.

To get that one spot where the colour shows through, click on the adjustment layer mask, draw a circle and fill it with black. That should make the H&S layer transparent in that spot, thereby letting the original image's colour show through.

Was I clear enough? ^^;

I used more than one adjustment layer, but that's the basic and the easiest way to get it. :D
Let me know if that made no sense and I'll see about trying to do a few screencaps for you. (We'd probably have to do that through email or through chat or something.. hahah)

nice Arashi wallies. i especially like # 1, 5 & 7 and the Time icons.
the guys in walls # 2 & 4 seem to be a bit .. pale! couldn't tell if that's the effect you wanted to give the wall. they kinda give a feeling of neither warm nor cold.. i'm short of english words atm -which totally sucks!- i hate not being able to express myself =_= anyway, i think i'd like em more if they had a little more color.

Ah, I meant them to be that way, since the background was relatively bright (especially in #4) and I find that sometimes the contrast works better than having the whole wallpaper glaring back at you in bright colours. And it helps focus the eye too, instead of being distracted all over. (Gomen, it's the design student in me talking. ^^; )
