Random Notes on Arashi...

elenniel... After watching a good many Arashi videos and TV shows.
Just to amuse myself (and distract my mind from manga storylines which everyone but me finds so great), even though probably no one's gonna read this. haha
Saa. Enough for now. hahah. I need to sleep.

~ Nino is short!
Well, shorter than I assumed he was, anyway. ( I can't help rubbing this into my youngest imouto's face... She's taller than me, so in a way it's hugely amusing that her favourite in Arashi is the second shortest of the lot. Muahahah! Luckily MatsuJun is taller than him. )
~ Jun seems to be quieter than I thought.
In the Ni no Arashi episode where Nino pretends to cough up blood (and gives poor Riida a heart attack), it was so obvious that Aiba and Jun weren't really bothering about the noise the other three were making - Aiba was watching TV, and Jun was reading.
Then in the Toku-tsu interview, when Sho took the camera round their rooms during some tour or other, Jun had been reading a comic before Sho came to his room. (This as opposed to Aiba's acrobatic demonstrations in his own room, and Ohno and Nino's "cuddling" in their room, which gives everyone such a wrong impression XD )
And there was the D no Arashi uda uda special. Whilst the others were so enthused about their "guests" he was mostly quite subdued in his reactions, except when it was really hilarious. Otherwise, in comparison to the others, he wasn't as exuberant as I expected him to be.
Don't know why I thought so. hahaha! But I was amused by it anyway. I couldn't help thinking, "That's just what I'd do!" ( elenniel is the quiet kind; thinks, but doesn't talk unless there's a need for it, or is in a rare talkative mood. )
~ Sho has the most muscular build - the others are mostly like sticks!
Well, not Ohno... But he's not as "built" as Sho. hahah... Nino and Jun are definitely on the thin side. Aiba's not as thin, but he's tall.
~ Aiba's adorable when he's with animals (and spouting random English)
Shimuken~~ Though probably "Arashi" would have suited the lion more (now that it's huge and not cute and cuddly anymore). I found it funny when the keeper asked him if he wanted to go inside [the enclosure] and see Shimuken, and he had this "Ahahah... No" manner. XD At least he got to name a kangaroo "Arashi." LOL.
~ Nino is EVIL.
All those pranks!!! hahahaha... I think my favourites are the ones where (1) a staff member gets arrested, (2) he sets up the other four for a shock when a concert audience starts calling only for him in the encore and (3) there's a "bear" in their van right after a visit to the zoo.
EDIT: I forgot the one where he pretends to cough blood. XD
~ Ohno may be the best dancer, but I still like watching Aiba and MatsuJun more.
I think it's just that they seem to be more energetic and lively in their movements... ^^;
~ Arashi likes to do weird/crazy stuff on their TV shows.
E.g. Attempt to row a giant origami boat 6km to Tokyo Bay. Put a (live) tortoise through an MRI just because they want to see what's inside it.
~ MatsuJun seems quite genki in early mornings.
Or maybe that's because he found it hilarious to get to go round to the others' rooms and wake 'em up one by one - mostly by playing "Sunrise Nippon" in their ears through a walkman thingy he had. Except Ohno, who got special treatment by way of "A.RA.SHI" on a radio and having all the other four jump up and down on his bed while singing along to it.
"You are my SOUL SOUL itsumo sugu soba ni aru..." *jump jump jump*
Poor Riida. XD So like little kids! You wouldn't have thought they were nearly twenty years old... (I'm guessing that by Jun's hair - it's the Gokusen hair in the vid, so it's probably around 2002 or so.)
~ What's with Jun and that king costume??
~ Nino's head looks slightly disproportionate to the rest of him.
Somehow... In some photos... He does... I don't know. *puzzled look* Maybe it's the camera angles or something, but he really looks a bit off-proportion in certain pictures and angles in videos.
~ Aiba seems the most sincere and warm.
It's like... Sho and Jun are a bit more aloof and "untouchable" than the rest. Ohno, though kawaii in his own way, tends to be off in his own world quite a bit. Nino appears rather sharp-tongued at times. Aiba's the warmest and genki-est of them all. He's the type that can really grow on you, I think. (Certainly grown on me, after all those videos...)
~ Ohno is almost painfully prone to hypnosis.
He even took in the hypnotic suggestions meant for Sho and Aiba! *smacks forehead* It was hilarious though. =P Sho was literally rolling about in laughter when Ohno decided to perform Aiba's "Italian Cannon" as well. (I think Jun and Nino were cracking up on the other side of the room, out of the camera view as well. Probably the rest of the staff present were holding their sides with laughter too)
