Gakibara All-Stars 2000 - Kansai Jrs vs Tonisen

I happened to stumble upon the VCD of this Gakibara All-Stars episode in a music store and it was going for a really cheap price. I had next to no idea what was in it besides that some of the JE guys were in it (Takki and Arashi were on the cover) but I bought it anyway...

...And had so much fun watching the Kansai Juniors' segment that I just had to sub it. :D So I ripped it from the VCD and it became the second video ever that I subbed but I decided not to post it immediately and kept it as my Christmas present for the V6 and Eito comms. =D
It's a little 'basic' because at the time I hadn't yet learnt certain tricks of subbing (like having multiple colours for one line). I could re-do it, but I've no patience to re-encode and reupload everything again so this'll have to do. ^^

Kansai Jrs vs 20th Century

The Kansai Juniors' representatives - Yoko, Baru, Hina and (an almost unrecognisable) tiny Ryo - were given the challenge of telling their seniors, 20th Century, to retire.

For the benefit of Eito fans who might not be so familiar with V6, 20th Century is the older half of V6 and consists of Sakamoto Masayuki (V6's leader), Nagano Hiroshi and Inohara Yoshihiko.
To give you an idea of exactly why this might be so terrifying... The age gap is quite large - Sakamoto is ten years older than Yoko and Baru, and Nagano and Inocchi aren't too far behind. And to top it all off, Sakamoto is reputed to be quite a scary person. They say even Johnny-san is somewhat afraid of him. XD So you can imagine the then-Kansai Juniors' apprehension at having to tell them to retire. :P



There were some utterly priceless lines in here. XD My favourites were...
Nagano to Kansai Jrs, while pointing at Sakamoto: Look carefully! In ten years you'll all become like that too!

Hina to Yoko: Stop talking. The more you talk, the higher the chance of you getting snapped at!

Oh, and Eito fans may rest assured Tonisen don't hate Eito for being such little upstarts and telling them to retire. In fact, Sakamoto said in an interview somewhere this year that if he had to choose another JE group to join for a day, he'd pick Eito - because they're the only ones (besides V6 and TOKIO) that come up to talk to him at things like the countdown cons. Aw, Eito! :Db

Yaaaay~! Thank you!!! I'm SO INSANELY happy now, you have no idea. I fell madly in love with Sakamoto a few months ago in a way I didn't think was possible again after the first few times I saw Ohno in action (and yes, I'm still madly in love with him too) and I love V6 and I love Eito and I want to see their faces when chibiEito gets up in that~!!!

I'm more of a Nagano fan myself, but Sakamoto is just fantastic XDD (I'm personally convinced that he has the best voice in JE at the moment, with Ohno in a close second. ^^ )

Oh, you'll love Tonisen's reactions to the whole thing. They were so... Indignant. XD Kind of felt like, "You - you little twerps! Who do you think you're talking to?!" ahahahaha!

I honesly hated Takki after this segment. It was downright uncool of him to put the boys in that sort of situation, even if it was all meant to be a joke. Suba-chan was going through a difficult period at that time too so I felt even more angry at Takki then. But now, I think I can finally see the humour in everything and I'm glad for the way things turned out in the end for them. :)

It really wasn't nice of Takki at all, but I had the impression that it was at least partly due to the producer/director's decision that the whole situation got forced on the poor Kansai boys. So with that impression I couldn't really blame Takki for it, even though I felt it was rather unfair to them.

Baru did seem very "emo" throughout the episode, and I was curious about it. I'm not too clear on all their history - care to explain what that "difficult period" was? I'd like to know ^^
Baru did have a marvellous retort to Tonisen though (the one that really made Sakamoto snap XD ). I totally cracked up when Inocchi said they'd have to help V6 promote the album or V6 would be in trouble and Baru responded with, "So you're done for then" as though to reinforce the retirement idea XDD
