elennielSometimes I just don't know how to label my wallpaper posts. I think I'll just use numbers from now on. haha

I think lately I favour subtle textures, patterns and gradients. They make for soothing wallpapers.

Oh, Maru. He's on such a roll lately. *applauds* And this photoshoot from Motonavi was just gorgeous.
#2 took a painfully long time to make - from combining the scans to trying to add some colour in. Am quite pleased with the end result, so hopefully it looks fine to everyone else ^^

I really really like Yoko. And I really really liked his chracter in 8UPPERS. ♥ I think Mac was underused. haha *makes up for that by making wallpapers featuring Mac*

Date: 2012-02-07 08:32 am (UTC)The one with Hina in a Yukata has a nice touch to it with the brush strokes completing the photograph to a picture as well as the sakura petals. I like that.

Date: 2012-02-07 05:20 pm (UTC)Subtle textures really help make the whole thing look less "flat" and warmer somehow. Sometimes they're not needed, but in a lot of cases I find they add to the overall feel..
I'm glad you liked that Hina one! The brush strokes came from a spur-of-the-moment idea to try and make it look more interesting. (Those are tiny eggplants though, not sakura petals... they do look like petals, don't they? haha)
