Johnny's Countdown 2007/08

elennielI'm supposed to write a recap about my fandoms in 2007... But this distracted me and I just have to get it out of my system. :P
Managed to download and watch the countdown this afternoon. It was interesting, to say the least. Watched it twice - the second time was so I could note down my random comments and take screen caps. :P
So here are my comments, with a few accompanying caps (when appropriate - ie. whenever Arashi is involved XD ). I can't do a complete summary as I'm not familiar with all the JE groups. ^^

- Yay for yellow & black! Thank God those are decent outfits... Though I hate that piece around Jun's waist.
- Jun in glasses! ♥ Even though that pair isn't particularly flattering... Still... ♥ ♥
- Hey...Come to think of it, where's SMAP?
- Oh here's TOKIO... Joushima looks weird. Joushima-san, that hair doesn't suit you.
- Wheeee Honey Beat! Go V6!
- Ooo X-Dame. Not one of my favourit Tackey & Tsubasa songs. What's with Tsubasa's hair? O_o
- KAT-TUN. Kame's wearing an oversized, furry shirt with jailbird stripes... and Akanishi Jin's wearing a weird shawl.. fringed and plaid. He looks like he's wearing an old brown rug.
- What... are Inocchi and Domoto Tsuyoshi doing?
- Akanishi looks like a cowboy wannabe, actually. Just without a hat and cowboy boots.
- Hate the patches on V6's suits. Spoils otherwise decent outfits. But at least they're not outrageously bad.
- The chibis in white. Now that I think about it, Hey Say Jump hardly appears in the rest of the Countdown.
- I like this weeeek song from NEWS.
- Love So Sweet. Lookin' good, Arashi! (But.. I really... really deplore that yellow thing around Jun's waist.)
- Sho looks pretty good here. Niiban ♥ !
- Aaaaand countdown! AKE OME!
- LOL Nagase gave Koichi a birthday kiss on the cheek! "Ko-kun~~" Koichi squirms unsuccessfully and then falls to his knees, plaintively saying, "Na-ga-seeeeee..." (Because that was so hilarious, here's a non-Arashi cap of Domoto Koichi bewailing his embarrassment. hahah)
- I want this はつうた song.
- Cool! Collabs. (Please note that I've never seen any of the Countdowns before. heh.)
- Sunrise Nippon! Arashi and NEWS
- Hm. Nishikido Ryo. I only know this guy because nezuko2109 requested a wallpaper of him. hahah... (Which reminds me... It's almost done. I should send it soon.)
- KAT-TUN's outfits make me think of Tim Burton...
- I'm so glad V6's pink suits are not neon pink. At least that's a more bearable shade of pink.
- Kanjani8's outfits make them look like jokers the whole time.
- T&T and V6! singing 恋のMelody. Kewl. Hm. They match too... Tackey's purple, Tsubasa's blue and V6's pink. Nice colour harmony.
- MatsuJun and Kamenashi Kazuya singing some KinKi Kids song.
- Hey... TOMA! With Riida! I see Tsubasa too...
- This TOKIO song, 花唄, is not bad... Me likes.
- Arashi's Pikanchi. Sung by two KAT-TUN fellas (the rapper and the beatboxer), V6's Morita and Miyake, and the funny TOKIO guy.
- Takki and Koichi singing Darling (V6).
- NEWSNippon is not bad too... Hm. I'm starting to think I should look up this group's songs.
- Kanjani8's hit from 2005 is nice... Nishikido Ryo is not bad looking, actually. But someone please explain Nishikido to me? I don't get how he can be in NEWS and in Kanjani8...
- Oh so THAT's the Daite Seniorita song. what's so great about it?
- Gah what's this bye-bye song that I've heard before... Arashi & V6 singing it. White/red and pink/black. Nice combi. hahah
(Love it when my favourites combine...)
- And love that Arashi had the crown emblazoned on the back of their suits. XD
- AH. SEASIDE BYE BYE. Kisarazu Cat's Eye. Ah that explains Sho and Okada in the middle. Gosh I feel dumb. It's so obvious.
- I find myself a bit... Not fond of Domoto Tsuyoshi's voice.
- Ah Venus. Like the song. Hated the PV... And what's that jump/chicken dance thing T&T are doing with V6? hahah

- はつうた sung by everyone again. I really like this. If I don't find the mp3 soon, I shall be forced to attempt to rip it out of the video...
- Jun introducing the ones born in the year of the Rat. Gah the video quality's a bit shaky here. But paying close attention anyway just because it's supposedly my year. lol. (By western calendar, I'm year of the Ox, but since I was born before Chinese New Year, technically that makes me year of the Rat. haha)
- "Ikemen" Toma. ahahaha
- I really like seeing Jun around his friends... He seems to be so happy. :D
- Aiba's cute with Kanjani8.
- Are they trying to make Riida look shorter than he is? He looks shorter than the whole of NEWS... -__-" (though I kinda wouldn't be surprised if he really is........)
- LOL! Riida's glasses...
- Hm. There was no HSJ at all after that one performance. Too new? :P Oh well. I'm not a great fan anyway. heh.
So Arashi sang a tiny bit of Happiness (darn I would've liked to hear the whole song), A.Ra.Shi, Sunrise Nippon, Love So Sweet and Kitto Daijoubu. Pikanchi was there, but not sung by them.
Why no Sakura Sake or Wish? Or even Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi? :(

I think it was really nice that Toma was there. Was he the only Junior to be spotlighted & appear with the senpai-tachi like that? I didn't see any of the others in any prominent role...
