elennielI was going to do a brief comparison of my impressions of Arashi's concerts, Kanjani8's 47 con and V6's Voyager con. But then I decided not to - or at least to hold off until I finish watching part 2 of 47 con. (Thank youuuuu, nagoya_mewmew ! <3 )
So for now... I shall flail about Voyager con. Yes, regardless of the fact that in my f-list only nagoya_mewmew has any interest in V6, and to a much lesser extent,font and skyura too, I shall still bug everyone with my ramblings about V6. XDDD
I cut a few - very short - clips of some of the performances. (I had to use Windows Movie Maker in the end because Premiere didn't like the files for some reason ;__; So the widescreen resolution kinda got cut off a bit and turned into a more usual, squarish display. And they're .wmv format. Sigh.) Three of these are about 50+ seconds long only because I didn't have time to cut and export the whole of the songs. I might do that when I'm done with this freelance project. If anyone's interested. (And I hope you'd be! hahah) ^_^

font and skyura too, I shall still bug everyone with my ramblings about V6. XDDDThe Voyager con was overall much more laidback than Arashi's concerts or 47con. Yes, there was dancing... Multicoloured lights (including a bunch of laser lights that really irked me at times because I couldn't see V6 clearly for all the flashing beams of green and whatnot)... Moving platforms... Even some flame bursts (for songs like Thunderbird). And a couple of gymnastic stunts, which made me wish I'd caught onto V6 much, much earlier as I think they would have been incredibly impressive to watch when they were younger (they're all nearing 30 or over 30 already, so can't exactly blame them for cutting down on the acrobatics). But I felt the "flashiness" was distinctly less than for Kanjani8 or Arashi. Didn't really matter to me though. I just loved their singing. :)
That's what V6 is for me - it's about their voices. Between my three favoured JE groups, I personally think V6 has the best vocals. I'm definitely not saying that Arashi and Kanjani8 cannot sing. They can. And Ohno's really really great (yay Riida!), and Baru, Ohkura and Ryo are pretty good too, but it's just different. The way V6's voices work together... I don't know if I'm the only nut who thinks so, but it's just such lovely harmony. Individually, there seems to be something of a gap in vocal abilities (ie. between Sakamoto/Inocchi/Okada and Nagano/Ken/Morita), but when they're all together, the sound is just ♥ ♥ ♥.
I was surprised that despite Ken-kun and Morita's distinctive voices, sometimes it's hard to pick their voices out of the group. I thought it would be more obvious, but that doesn't seem to be the case. They blend in surprisingly well.)
During the song Overdrive, I was quite surprised to find that they can all rap - or at least that they don't sound too bad rapping. Even Sakamoto and Nagano! I wouldn't have thought it. hahah
Most shockingly, they actually had nice outfits throughout the concert!! (Excepting that somewhat odd costumes that Tonisen had to wear for their song, that is...) I loved that about it. There weren't any really painful-to-look at outfits; they were all fairly cool and classy clothes. (Again, except that Tonisen set.) Having never seen their old concerts, I don't know what their costumes used to be like. But for this one at least, I figure that maybe they can't get too idiotic with the costumes because it's harder to get away with ugly/weird outfits on 'old' guys like Sakamoto and Nagano. XD
