The Baka-ness of Black

elennielDidn't exactly have the best of holidays today - not that it was a really bad day, but just that there were some down times. And the heat didn't help matters. -__- It's too too toooooo hot. Augh.
So anyway, I decided to make myself a little happier and (hopefully) amuse everyone else in the process....
By sharing some of Yokoyama You's (a.k.a. Black Ranger) baka-ness.
The main reason he's currently included in my Top 10 JE guys is because he really makes me crack up. And in spite of all the boke things he says/does, I get the feeling that he's actually quite smart.
(I think both Yoko and Aiba are aberrations in my Top 10 because they don't match the others at all. LOL. I mean, put them in a list dominated by people like MatsuJun, Sho, Okada, Ohkura... They just don't quite fit the mould. XD But they're darling bakas all the same.)
So Yoko and Hina have a weekly slot on JOQR's Recomen - I'm not sure which day theirs airs, but it's long. About 1.5 hours or more. Trust them to be able to gabble on and on three times longer than Arashi's members. hahah

enshinge 's and a couple of them really made me laugh. So much that I had to go and dig out those particular episodes and download them just to listen to the insanity. One of the funniest was the 6th March episode.
The overall theme for that one (according to enshinge) was "squealing fangirling competition... which listener can squeal the loudest when their favorite idol gives them a call?"
The first girl they called was a Yoko fangirl, and the conversation that followed was absolutely hilarious. Because the girl was a foreigner and answered the call in English, much to Yoko's shock. XD
I just had to type out and translate the complete transcript of the conversation forsnoew after that. enshinge didn't have the complete log of that segment so I couldn't just copy-paste from her LJ. Luckily, the things they talked about were simple enough for me to catch; and the few things I didn't understand I figure out from enshinge's summary.

G: This - this - this is... Yokoyama? Yokoyama You?
*Y: (whisper) What is this? She's not a Japanese person?
*H: (whisper) Try talking to her
Y: H-HARO!
G: Hello?
Y: Eh, my name is You Yokoyama.
G: Oh, h-hello, You Yokoyama! (half-laughing) Oh my god!
Y: Omaiga? [I think he didn't understand what "oh my god" was. ROFL] Really. Really?
G: Yes. Really. Aaaaa~ (fangirl squeal XD )
Y: Yeaa!
G: Oh my god! (more elated, disbelieving laughter)
Y: Um... BYE.
G: Bu- EH? Eh? That's it? (lapsed into Japanese at that point)
H: (said something I couldn't hear with all the laughing going on)
Y: You can speak Japanese?
G: It's no problem at all.
Y: You can speak it!
(Laughter from Hina/staff)
G: Gomen ne!
Y: Made me so nervous...
I'll skip the middle part for now (they talked about where she was from and when she learnt Japanese - she's from Michigan, now teaching English in Japan) and just jump to the ending of it.
Yoko asked if she had been to his concert - I assume he meant his solo con. She said she had, last year. There were a few lines after that that I didn't quite catch.
Y: No way... Really..?
G: Yes!
Y: Yessss!
G: Yesss!
Y+H: Yesss!
G: I LOVE you, Yokoyama You! [Sporting girl, this XD]
Y+H: LOL
Y: Yesss! Tank yew, tank yew! [Reminds me of Sho saying "Thank you" on that NY trip long ago.]
G: You're welcome
Y: Yea... Okay!
H: (laughs) Ah, this is a great feeling ne...
Y: Suge na... [I don't really need to translate that, do I? haha]
H: You must be happy... Ja, Yokoyama, last words for her. [Or something like that..]
Y: I'm really happy, thank you!
G: Ah, no, thank you too! Thank you very much!
Y: Ah, okay, you are welcome!
G: Thank you!
Y: Bye!
H: Thank you, bye-bye!
Lucky girl... If that had been me, and I answered the phone to find MatsuJun on the line, I'd probably go utterly speechless with shock... And would probably forget any Japanese that I presumably know and he'd be forced to carry on the conversation in English. XDD
In the same Recomen, Yoko and Hina decided to call one of Yoko's younger brothers, Mitsuru, who happened to be at his part-time job then, and that in itself was a joke. Mitsuru recognised his brother pretty much right away, but Yoko pretended that it wasn't him. Little brother wasn't fooled though, and insisted that it's "Kimi-niichan" (somehow, that nickname is just so cute :> ). When Yoko said, "No, I'm Tanaka," Mitsuru shot back with, "No way, you're Kimi-niichan. You're drunk, aren't you?" LOL.
Ah, the insanity that is Yokoyama. ahahahaha
(I thought of blogging about the 47con's MC section where Yoko was complaining about his mic failure during the Eito Ranger skit, but I guess I'll do that another time. haha)
