Wallpapers: May 2008

Mini-announcement:
If you've been following my wallpaper posts ever since I started posting them on LJ, you'd know that I practically never post more than one size of it and don't often entertain requests for resizing as I don't have time to deal with it. ^^; However... since my monitor died on me some weeks ago, I ended up with a new one - a widescreen (somewhat to my dismay, although I'm grateful I have a monitor at all ^^ ). So lately all the wallpapers I make are 1440x900. For some, I make 1280x1024 versions and for some I don't. Depends on how I feel and whether I deem it workable at a different dimension.

Anyway, some of the wallpapers I post will still be 1280x1024 and have no widescreen versions because these would be the ones that I made before my old monitor conked.

Just thought I'd throw that out so everyone's aware of the new/additional wallpaper sizes. ^_^

Now, onto the wallpapers! It's been a while, hasn't it? I haven't posted wallpapers since... End of March. Heh. So I hope you like these!

For the month of May we have: Arashi, MatsuJun, Aiba Masaki, Shirota Yuu, Kanjani∞, Ohkura Tadayoshi, Yokoyama You, Miyake Ken. :)

Anything else I tried to add to this - beyond extending the background - just killed it. So I left it as it is. Simple. ^^

I'm really pleased with how these came out :D
#3 and #4 are exactly the same except for the colours. :)

- Most are at 1280 x 1024 - but I'm slowly switching to doing more 1440x900 ones because I got a new monitor which is a widescreen ( I miss my old one ;___; ).
- The watermarks / sigs. They're there because I've had my stuff stolen before (a Bleach wallpaper) and I don't take well to that sort of thing....
- Credits are given on the wallpapers when possible.
- If you'd like any of them without the watermark, just leave a comment with your e-mail (unless you've requested before, then I'll just check my contact list for your add) and I'll send the 'clean' version over.
- Do drop a comment if you like them, or if you have any suggestions. :)
- Also, please do not post my wallpapers anywhere else without first asking me. Generally I won't say no if you ask nicely and credit me. hehe

Ah, very awesome, nya~ I really liked the Arashi ones (group and solos), very very awesome. Could I actually ask for the Arashi group one, and the 1st MatsuJun one, clean versions? arashi group did look too plain for my liking. but that picture itself is just THAT good enough that u dont need to do any extra fancy stuffs to kill it right? :d so yea...but ...aiba look extra blank even tho jun looks extra cute.....

jun1 i like the font part...but i thought web2.0 suppose to be rounded edges squares? ah maybe i was wrong. but nice shadow!!

me likey jun2 (tho i had hard time open it...stupid browser), its rather different and i just like the serene vintage mood, but perhaps a bit more white on the gradient map will give some light on jun? idk maybe its just me. :P and the blue-ish text seems a bit off on the sepia hue...but overall, i still like it XDDDD, not just because its jun by star :P

All of them look amazing. ^^ I was wondering if it would be ok to ask for the K8 group desktop and #2-4 of the Ohkura desktops without the watermarks? Either size for those Ohkura ones is fine, as I'll just resize them to fit my desktop better as the #2 Ohkura one is a little too big for my screen resolution, so I hope you don't mind my resizing it to fit my desktop.

Aww, sorry to hear about your monitor! ♥ (That's too bad, too; I'll miss the wallpapers in my res, but I'll still keep up with them, because they're too pretty and well-made not to. ;D)

I'll still be putting out 1280x1024 pieces, so don't worry ^^ I know widescreens aren't exactly the standard yet. Just that in some cases it may not work out since some layouts that look good wide totally don't work in other sizes. Depending on how free I am, or on my mood, I may end up making some only in 1280x1024. heheh

It's a little mean of me, I guess, to not consistently do multiple sizes for each wallpaper... But then I don't want to force myself to do it as it would only turn into a burden ;P

but I'll still keep up with them, because they're too pretty and well-made not to
